This is the BIG one! Two-week visit by under-16s teams from Liberia, Peru and Hungary, who will take part in an 11-a-side football tournament at schools in the town with the final at Belle Vue Park. September 14 to 27, 2008.

Two-week project involving visiting groups from Liberia, Peru and Hungary. As well as a four-day football tournament at the local schools and culminating at Belle Vue Park, we will also organise a conference on identity, integration and participation, where young people in the Consett area will meet their visitors and explore these subjects together. There will also be social and cultural activities, and we hope to arrange coaching courses by our young visitors and for them.

We hope the relationships between the four countries will continue after the two-week visit is over.
